We saw a gap—not just in accounting departments, but in who gets to be part of them. With talent shortages on the rise in key bookkeeping and clerical roles, and too few opportunities for those eager to learn, we created Michigan Learning Annex to be a different kind of training space: practical, inclusive, job-focused, and rooted in community.

Ella LaChance, Founder – I started Michigan Learning Annex because I saw two things happening at once: an industry desperate for skilled accounting support, and communities full of untapped potential wasting time and money of generic online courses that don't actually teach you sills. This isn’t a traditional classroom. It’s a launchpad. Whether someone’s returning to the workforce, switching careers, or simply chasing a better life, we meet them where they are and get them where they want to go—with real-world skills and a whole lot of support.
